The british virgin Islands
Located in the Caribbean east of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) are a British Overseas Territory made up of more than 40 islands and cays, most of volcanic origin. With life centered around the sea, the BVI is celebrated for world-class sailing, exceptional diving, stunning coral reefs, and iconic white-sand beaches like The Baths on Virgin Gorda. Sixteen islands are inhabited, with Road Town on Tortola serving as the capital.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1 - Norman Islands
Arrive at the designated marina in Tortola, where your crew will welcome you aboard your luxury charter yacht. After a safety briefing and orientation, set sail for Privateer Bay on Norman Island for lunch.
Made famous by Treasure Island, Norman Island’s caves evoke the age of pirates and privateers. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon with swimming and snorkeling, with the option of a fun pirate treasure hunt for younger guests. Cruise a short distance to The Bight, where you can unwind at anchor, enjoy water sports, or visit the iconic Willy T or Pirate’s Bight. End the day with a tender sunset cruise or a scenic hike for sunset views.
After waking up and enjoying your morning coffee, set out for a snorkel or SCUBA dive at the spectacular Indians, just across from The Bight. Swim along the dramatic rock formations and coral walls, home to vibrant tropical fish in crystal-clear waters.
Continue on to Little Harbour on Peter Island, a secluded and pristine anchorage where the yacht is secured stern-to-shore, creating a private “swimming pool” off the stern. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the water, enjoying drinks and music, taking advantage of the yacht’s water toys, or heading ashore by tender for a scenic hike on the island.
Day 2 - Peter Island
Day 3 - Virgin Gorda/North Sound
After breakfast, sail through the Sir Francis Drake Channel toward Virgin Gorda, stopping for lunch at Cooper Island Beach Club. Enjoy snorkeling or a drink ashore before continuing to the iconic Baths, where giant granite boulders form caves, pools, and white-sand beaches. Swim ashore and follow the rocky trail to Devil’s Bay, returning to the yacht by tender.
A short cruise brings you to Mountain Point, where you can snorkel or SCUBA dive among beautiful reefs and enjoy sweeping views across the BVI. Later, sail north to Virgin Gorda’s North Sound, anchoring for lunch and visiting Bitter End Yacht Club and Saba Rock.
Spend the afternoon enjoying watersports at The Sandbox, including wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and stand-up paddleboarding, with kiteboarding and Hobie Cat sailing available to rent. At happy hour, watch the giant tarpon feeding at Saba Rock, or take a scenic walk to Biras Creek or along nearby island trails.
Day 4 - Anegada
After a leisurely breakfast, sail north for approximately two hours to the coral atoll of Anegada, a striking contrast to the rest of the BVI, rising just 28 feet above sea level.
Surrounded by vibrant reefs and historic shipwrecks, Anegada is a favorite for snorkeling and SCUBA diving. Visit the famous conch shell piles, created by local fishermen and now a unique island landmark, accessible with local guides.
Explore the island by open-air taxi, scooter, or Moke, heading to the stunning north-shore beaches including Cow Wreck Beach, Flash of Beauty, Bones Bight, and Windlass Bight. Enjoy beachfront dining and drinks at Tipsy Beach Bar or Anegada Beach Club.
In the evening, savor freshly caught lobster at one of the restaurants along Setting Point, with reservations arranged by your crew if desired.
Day 5 - Marina Cay/Scrub Island
After breakfast, sail south toward the Dog Islands, keeping watch for dolphins along the way. Pick up a mooring at Great Dog, where excellent snorkeling awaits.
After lunch, continue to the sheltered mooring field at Marina Cay. From here, take a short tender ride to explore Scrub Island Resort and Trellis Bay. Nearby Cam Bay offers prime bonefish flats for fly fishing, while Diamond Reef is a must-visit for a spectacular snorkel.
Day 6 - Jost van Dyke
After breakfast, sail downwind to Sandy Spit, a tiny sandy cay off Green Cay — perfect for a stroll ashore with friends and family. Enjoy stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, or sunbathing before lunch.
Continue on to Jost Van Dyke, stopping at Great Harbour to visit the legendary Foxy’s Bar, or head to White Bay for a swim ashore and a Painkiller at the Soggy Dollar Bar. Browse local shops for BVI souvenirs or relax at beachfront spots like Hendo’s Hideout, known for its conch fritters.
Choose to anchor overnight in Great Harbour, Little Harbour, White Bay, or near Diamond Cay, where you can visit the famous Bubbly Pool.
Day 7 - Tortola/Depart
After an early start from Jost Van Dyke, cruise back to the marina on Tortola. Depart by private water taxi or public ferry, or transfer to the airport if flying.
Throughout your charter, your crew strives to create the perfect balance of attentive service and relaxed privacy, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience. They’ll also capture photos and videos along the way to share with you after your journey.
Safe travels — we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
